Client Services

If you are looking to break out of a rut, find balance in a busy world, or move through life’s challenges with a professional partner by your side—you’re in the right place.

We’ve moved the therapeutic conversation out of the office and into the fresh air, combining high-level clinical expertise with the grounding influence of the outdoors.

Can't make it to the trail? No problem.

We provide telehealth services for clients across Maryland, DC, New York, North Carolina, and Virginia. Whether it’s due to inclement weather, scheduling conflicts, or personal preference, our virtual sessions provide the same evidence-based care in a format that fits your busy life.

Group Therapy

Healing is often better together. Our groups allow you to "find your village" while benefiting from the restorative power of nature and movement.

  • Mindfulness Walking Groups: Experience the grounding power of the trail and the presence of community.

  • Support Groups: Dedicated, safe spaces for Parents and Teens.

  • Specialized Wellness: Option to facilitate your own private group for a more tailored experience.

Individual Therapy

Find relief and momentum through personalized sessions tailored to your unique needs. We specialize in supporting clients navigating all of life’s stressors and specific mental health concerns.

  • Our Clinical Approach: We blend movement with evidence-based practices, incorporating Somatic Experiencing for trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), for anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD, CBT-i (for insomnia), Mindfulness, and Strength-Based Therapy.

Value Added Services

Beyond our clinical sessions, we believe in bringing bringing positive discussions around mental health directly into the spaces where people live, learn, and lead.

  • Speaking Engagements: Jennifer Udler is available to share her expertise on "walk and talk" therapy and emotional well-being to your next event or conference.

  • School-Based Support: We provide school visits and on-site therapy appointments to support students in a familiar environment.

  • Collaborate With Us: If you are interested in inviting Jennifer Udler to speak or want to learn more about our community partnerships, please contact us for more information.

Client
FAQs

  • In short: No. While we believe in the transformative power of movement and nature, your comfort and needs always come first.

    • Hybrid Flexibility: Many of our clients enjoy a "hybrid" model—meeting outdoors when the weather is beautiful and moving to Virtual Telehealth during the winter months or on days when they are traveling or feeling under the weather.

    • Weather Contingencies: If it’s pouring rain, dangerously hot, or icy, we don’t want you to miss our time together. In these cases, we simply pivot to a secure video platform so your care remains consistent.

    • Virtual-Only Options: We also work with many clients who live outside our walking radius but want to work with our professional experts. For these individuals, we provide high-quality virtual therapy that maintains our modern, conversational approach.

Our Goal: To meet you where you are—both physically and emotionally. Whether we are on a trail or on a screen, the depth of care remains the same.

  • Our team of experienced professionals is not in network with insurance companies. However, we do provide an itemized receipt that you receive after sessions electronically. These receipts can be used for you to submit to your health insurance company for possible reimbursement. We recommend you contact your insurance provider prior to beginning sessions to find out your exact coverage.

  • Our therapists see both  adults and teenagers. Each person is unique and no matter the age, we see you as an individual with specific concerns. We are here for you and support you throughout the lifespan.

  • Your privacy is our priority. We choose paths and parks that allow for space and distance from others. Our therapists are experienced and lead with ease to navigate the trails and focus completely on you and your emotional needs.

  • This is worth a discussion prior to beginning our work together. Couples and families have the option to be seen outdoors or over Telehealth. Depending on the circumstances one modality may be more conducive than the other for accomplishing your goals. Hybrid options are also available and can be discussed with your therapist.

  • We understand that you love your child and want what is best for them. We aim to include parents while also providing a safe and private space for your teen to do their best work. Sometimes teenagers need a neutral person to talk to, and we want them to know that this space and time is honored. We know that every person has a different story, and from the beginning of our work together, our clinicians will talk with you about the best way to stay involved.

  • Yes. We are happy to work with you if you are experiencing financial strain. We value care of your mental health and we do not want finances to be a barrier to your health care.

  • We are "all-weather" therapists to an extent, but your comfort is key. In the case of heavy rain, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions, we can easily pivot to a virtual "tele-health" session or reschedule for a clearer day.

  • Not at all. The goal is movement, not fitness. We adjust our pace and distance to match your comfort level. We can even find a quiet bench to sit on for a portion of the session if that's what you need that day.

  • We recommend comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate layers. Think of our sessions as a "purposeful stroll" rather than a workout—we move at a pace that feels natural to you.
